MELINDA WIDNER

Principal Designer of Daisy 11 Design

My love affair with interior design started at the age of 13 when I stumbled upon an issue of Architectural Digest. It was a life-changing moment, igniting a passion for art, design, and architecture that has been with me ever since.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Human and Consumer Sciences with a major in Interior Design from Ohio University. I then dove headfirst into the design world, interning at Ethan Allen before spending a formative 24 years at Andreas Furniture. There, I sharpened my skills in furniture sales, interior design, and buying, collaborating on countless award-winning model homes.

As a designer with over two decades of experience, I partner with trusted, local vendors to deliver a stress-free design project for my design clients. I am a member of the Interior Design Society and CQRID certified.

Designing your space should be an incredibly fun experience (for you - it’s already fun for me). My clients are often shocked by how I can pull ideas out of their imaginations and turn them into touchable, texture-filled realities. They don’t need to spend hours telling me what they want.

I’m able to pull out their true desires in a few well-orchestrated conversations, then use my designer instincts to create a design plan around them.

I cater to a variety of design styles and would never dream of recreating the same space over and over again. Your home should be as unique as you and reflect the legacy that you’re building for your family.
